About me:
Born and raised in Jindabyne I have spent a fair bit of time around the area! I have spent seasons in Europe and the US as well as studying mechanical engineering and working for Snowy Hydro, made the change to running the family business because of the lifestyle opportunities. I love to travel and spend time outdoors whether it be fly-fishing, skiing or hiking.

Favourite thing about Jindabyne: The amount of year-round activities – you will never be bored.

Ski / snowboard: Skiing the groomers, snowboarding fresh powder.

Go to eats & drinks: Depends on what you are after but Parc is a great cafe spot with good food but Crackenback farm is a really nice dinner spot.

Hot tip: Snacks in the pocket so you can keep going when the snow is good.

Hot tip: Visit in Summer! So many people just think of Jindabyne in the winter, but it has so many more things to offer in the summer.

Jayde

Holiday Property Manager

About me:
The mountain life has always called to me, after growing up in regional QLD I was in need of a change from the heat, so I packed my bags for the snow I have since lived and worked in seasonal snow towns for over a decade. After chasing winters between Australia, Canada and Japan I finally decided that Jindabyne in the place I want to be.

Favourite thing about Jindabyne: I love how much Jindabyne changes and how we get the best of all the seasons! Snow in winter and beautiful temperatures in summer, autumn and spring are gorgeous with the changing foliage. Sometimes it even snows in December, Jindabyne likes to keep you on your toes.
Ski / snowboard: Definitely snowboard! I have tried to ski a few times, but snowboarding is where my heart is!

Go to eats & drinks: Coffee is life and you can’t beat an ESS coffee & toastie! Emporium has an amazing range of all-Australian beer, wine and spirits if you’re looking for something different to sip on. The Banjo Paterson Inn is my favourite choice with the largest range meals and Snowy Way Brewing Mountain Ale on tap!

Hot tip: If you’re skiing or snowboarding when it is windy and snowy, stick to the T-Bars and stay close to the trees so you can see! The sun is harsh in the mountains so wear sunscreen, even in winter!

About me:

I grew up in Sydney and our family holidays always consisted of getaways to Jindabyne and Perisher. I spent my first season skiing at Perisher in 2018, and I have never looked back! After spending a summer in Jindabyne I realised the areas has so much more to offer than just the ski fields.

Favourite thing about Jindabyne: The snow, the hikes in the mountain ranges, spending the warm days by the lake and camping! Jindabyne has so much to offer year-round, there is always something to do!

Ski / snowboard: I’ve been a skier since I was 5 and have tried to snowboard but I’m much better on skis. I still broke my thumb though; it was my first broken bone!

Go to eats & drinks:  The Banjo Patterson Inn is a great place for an afternoon knock off. Jindabyne Emporium, all the alcohol is Australian, and they have an extensive range of Craft beer and spirits! Parc Café, a great place for brunch and check out their special board! Birchwood, another great breakfast spot and of course ESS, a retail store with a coffee shop, look for new ski boots with a coffee in hand.

Hot tip: If you’re about to go for a hike, always pack a lunch and snacks! The top of Kosi is a great lunch spot!

About me:
I was born in the UK, moved to Adelaide in 2005 and now, I have been calling Jindabyne home since 2018. I have a huge passion for travel and have been to over 15 countries. I have been working in Hospitality for the last 8 years and have recently made the exciting move to real estate.

Favourite thing about Jindabyne: The peaceful lifestyle and the community. There is always a new spot to explore and someone to adventure with. My current top spots are the Lake, Island Bend, Hatchery Bay, and the Op Shop.

Ski / snowboard: I have done 8 seasons exclusively snowboarding, but next year I think I’m going to change to the dark side…skiing.

Go to eats & drinks: Bebita is my #1, their burrito bowls are my favourite, and they do the best cheesecakes around! The Jindabyne Brewery is also a good spot for a few craft beers and a sunset. If you need that morning caffeine hit before heading up the hill ESS is the spot!

Hot tip: If you get a chance, the Porcupine Rocks hike for sunrise is magical. Take a bite to eat with you and watch the sunrise roll in over the mountain ranges.
