A reminder that check-in is from 4 pm and check-out is 10 am. Either from The Base Ski Hire during the winter season or Jindabyne Real Estate over the remainder of the year.

Internet is provided for unit 1 and can be used if you can find a strong enough connection. It is not offered as part of Unit 2.

Please note that this is a regional area and the services can be overloaded and slower during peak times.


Fuse Box –

Meter Box – at the left-hand side of the house near the front corner

Water Mains – a hot water system is located in the attic, a second hot water system can be found in the library

Gas Bottles –

If you are having repeated issues with circuits tripping they may be overloaded.

Heating and Hot Water


  • Electric heater in the living area.
    • To use: power on, change temperature using the degree icon and up and down buttons, and press the degree icon again. A red light will come on when it’s operating. An instruction manual can be found in the bottom drawer in the kitchen

Hot Water

  • A hot water system is located in the attic
  • A second hot water system is in the laundry



The kitchen is stocked with all the basic amenities such as

  • Kettle
  • Toaster
  • Microwave
  • French press
  • Sandwich press
  • Slow cooker
  • Electric fry pan
  • Kitchenette


  • Dishwasher in Unit 2.
    • Turn the dial to select a cycle and press start
  • Oven / Hot Plates / Stovetop
    • Standard hot electric hotplate
    • To use the oven and separate grill: both have separate dials for selecting temperature and the setting
    • Kitchenette only
      • Hot plates only (no oven)


  • Hitachi TV in the main house
    • To use: select DTT on the remote for TV
    • To use for TV in Unit 2: power on and source for selection of TV/HDMI etc

3 Bathrooms

  • The ground floor main house ensuite has a shower, a toilet and a vanity
  • The level 1 main bathroom has a shower over the bath, a toilet, and a vanity
  • The ensuite off the main bedroom on level 1 has a shower over a half-size bath, a toilet, and a vanity
  • Unit 2 has a large shower, vanity, and a toilet

Washing Machine 

  • Fisher & Paykel washing machine
    • To use: power on, use >> (double arrows) to select the cycle, then press start
  • Simpson washing machine in Unit 2
    • To use: turn the dial to the cycle and press start


  • Fisher & Paykel dryer
    • Standard operation


  • 2 burner BBQ on the veranda
    • To use: push in the burner dial and listen for gas, turn and listen for ignite click

The BBQ needs to be cleaned after each stay or additional charges may be present.

If you run out of gas during your stay, we can replace it during the day. If after hours we can reimburse you the cost of swapping it. Just email a receipt to info@jre.net.au and your bank details and we can process it.

Parking/Garage (boat/cars)

  • Double undercover carport for the main house plus plenty of driveway space for a boat or additional cars.
    • Max 3 vehicles for unit 1 and 1 vehicle for unit 2
  • If you are only occupying one of the units, please do not infringe on the parking for the occupants
  • Plenty of on-street parking

Stairs (to property and inside property)

  • 8 stairs up to the main door
  • 15 stairs from ground to the main level
  • 14 stairs from the main bedroom up to the attic
  • 15 stairs from the main bedroom veranda to the backyard
  • 10 stairs from the lounge room to the loft in the lounge
  • 4 stairs from the ground level bedroom to outside the backyard
  • 5 stairs to Unit 2


  • Collection Friday morning
  • Red wheelie bins to be put out by guest

Recycling collection

  • Pick up every 2nd Monday morning
  • Yellow wheelie bins to be put out by guest
