Great place to stay
Glen Morgan - 6th August 2022Easy check in and check out. Everything we needed for a great stay and holiday.
We are so glad you enjoyed your time in Jindabyne and staying at Banjo's Way 1. We hope to welcome you back again soon.
Owners essentially spied on us throughout our entire 4 day stay. Neighbours would watch us through their laundry and verandahs. We received two visits at random by the real estate agents, whom upon arrival informed us that the neighbours/owners had been in contact with them saying that our behaviour had been suspicious. Behaviour that was suspicious included having quiet beers out on the porch and inflating a small pool in the enclosed area outside the house. During the first visit, the estate agents told us to deflate the pool which we did immediately upon request. The agents left and we emptied the pool slowly as to not empty and entire pool at once. Not half an hour later the estate agents came back saying that they had heard from the neighbours that we hadn’t deflated the pool and that we were “sitting around drinking and chatting” this was true, however we were siphoning water out of the pool at the same time. The estate agents arrived and told us that we were doing everything fine dismissing the situation. The next day rolled around and I received a phone call from the estate agents again, this time they informed me that the owners wanted me to put up a $2000 bond as the owners feared that we would cause damages to the property. Despite all our actions so far being in good faith and obliging completely. So as to not ruin our stay a bond was placed as our group is trustworthy. If you want to stay in Jindabyne, stay elsewhere especially if you are younger. If you don’t mind the owners/neighbours looking over their fence at your every hour this is the spot for you. Jindaybne is lovely and I would return for another trip, but I would certainly stay elsewhere.
